Report abuse on RareSRV.

One inbox. A real person reads every report.

Send reports to abuse@raresrv.com. We acknowledge within one business day and act on verified reports promptly. For imminent harm or CSAM, follow the guidance below.

What we act on

RareSRV's Acceptable Use Policy prohibits content and conduct that is illegal, harmful, or threatens the stability of our infrastructure. We take action on credible reports of:

  • Spam and email abuse: unsolicited bulk email, phishing, CAN-SPAM violations.
  • Malware and phishing: sites distributing malware, ransomware, stalkerware, or impersonating brands to steal credentials.
  • Copyright and trademark infringement: see the DMCA section of our Terms.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): reported to NCMEC as required by 18 U.S.C. §2258A, and removed immediately.
  • Threats, harassment, doxxing: content targeting individuals with credible threats or personal information.
  • Network abuse: DoS attacks, port scans, intrusion attempts, open relays, botnet C2.
  • Fraud: deceptive commerce, fake storefronts, credit-card fraud, chargeback schemes.
  • Resource abuse: cryptomining on shared infrastructure, runaway scripts.

How to submit a report

Email abuse@raresrv.com with as much of the following as you can provide. The more detail you give us up front, the faster we can act.

  • The URL, domain, or IP address involved.
  • A timestamp (with time zone) of when you observed the activity.
  • A description of what happened, in your own words.
  • Evidence: screenshots, full email headers (for spam or phishing), log excerpts, or links.
  • Your contact information so we can follow up.

Spam and phishing

Attach the full message including all headers. In Gmail: "Show original." In Outlook: "View message source." Without headers we cannot trace the source reliably.

Copyright (DMCA)

A valid DMCA notice must meet the requirements in 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3). See the DMCA section of our Terms for the full list and our designated agent.

CSAM and imminent harm

If you are reporting apparent child sexual abuse material, we will act immediately and report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). You can also report directly at report.cybertip.org.

If the content describes an imminent threat to life, call local emergency services (911 in the U.S.) first, then email us so we can preserve evidence and cooperate.

Security vulnerabilities

If you have found a security issue in the RareSRV infrastructure or client area, please email abuse@raresrv.com with the subject line "Security: ..." We will acknowledge within one business day and work with you on disclosure. We do not currently operate a paid bug-bounty program, but we credit reporters who request it.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your report within one business day.
  2. We investigate. This may include inspecting logs, contacting the account holder, or preserving evidence at the request of law enforcement.
  3. We act proportionally. Depending on severity: a warning to the customer, removal of specific content, suspension, or termination of the account.
  4. We follow up. We will tell you what we did, subject to any limits set by law or by the privacy of the account holder.

Law enforcement requests

Requests from law enforcement should be sent to abuse@raresrv.com or by mail to RareSRV, Attn: Legal, 30 Pine Trl., Harpers Ferry, WV 25401.

We require valid legal process (subpoena, court order, or search warrant, as appropriate under U.S. law) for non-public account information. We preserve records on receipt of a preservation request under 18 U.S.C. §2703(f) for up to 90 days, extendable for another 90 days.

In emergencies involving a credible threat of death or serious bodily harm, law enforcement can request an emergency disclosure under 18 U.S.C. §2702(b)(8) / §2702(c)(4) at the same address.

Bad-faith reports

We track and disregard reports that are demonstrably false or submitted to harass a customer. Repeat bad-faith reporters may be blocked. DMCA notices require a statement under penalty of perjury; abuse of that process carries real legal risk for the reporter under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).

Ready to report?

Email abuse@raresrv.com. Include the details listed above, and we will take it from there.
